One of the thing i really love about Penang is their preservation of Heritage.. It's like an Instagram-ers wet dreams, with all the vintagey kitschy things everywhere. It reminds me alot of Melaka, however most of Melaka's historical sites have been destroyed and modernized into square buildings with English names and the roads all have been changed to Malay names.. sienz...
Of course the latest hype were all the art installment / graffiti works all over Penang. The kid cycling, kid peeping, old man fishing.. so on and so forth.. Haha we went to see a few la.. and was too shy to pose =.= zzzzz.. Nyhoo~ What we did most of the time was eat.. Like.. literally every other hour i'm stuffing my face with food.. Char kuey teow, cendols, cakes, laksa, crab, prawns, more cakes, doughnuts, more cakes...

Straits Quay was beautiful.. It's so luxurious with all the yatch and light house, with rows of cafes and bars.. It's super windy when we were there and sooo the cantek la.. However, it's not like majorly crowded.. even on a Friday.. I can imagine, if it was KL or Melaka that have this site, sure filled with drug addicts, whores, rempits and gansters =.=
But then.. it was rly rly cool in Penang lor.. I was pleasantly surprise.. The only danger was, at the pier, got a few anglers.. And zzz everytime the swing their rods back, fml.. i feel like ducking, if not the fish hook will catch on to me.. and tat would not have been purrty~ =.=
All dressed up for dinner.. =)
We had a rly rly nice dinner at ThatLittleWineBar. It's this rly cosy, pretentious restaurant / bar. Our starter was seared tuna with spice crust and a bowl of tomato soup. Which were both super yummy! I loveeed the soup very much. Then for mains we had Barramundi on vegetable ragout and beef wellington with a side of pumpkin mash.. The fish was average but the beef was... super awesome... =) We had wine also la.. Prices of items can be checked on their website... Highly recommended.. Altho ppl say Penang is known for their streetfood, but i always have streetfood when i go there.. So this time, i definitely was trying their high-street food..

China House - This is another artsy place, where the owner converted 4 connecting antique houses into this amazing, bar/ cafe/ restaurant/ cakery/ art gallery/ wine cellar.. And the number of cakes they have.. O_O i have never seen sooo many variety of cakes in one place. From rum soaked tiramisu to white chocolate peach cobblers to pineapple upside down cake to apple white wine pies.. This place is Amazeee~~
Penang is def a place i would love to settle down in. =) It's a small city, with a nice balance of heritage and modernisation. Hmmmm... Bigger plans ahead...
